Christmas styling update with Delia Lachance
It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas at Westwing founder Delia Lachance’s home – and she’s embracing a look that feels warm, modern, and intentionally understated. Instead of chasing fast trends, she focuses on timeless elegance, natural materials, and thoughtful little details that instantly create a special atmosphere. Here, she shares her exclusive styling tips – from an elegantly set dinner table to a cosy living room and a welcoming, festive entrance area.
Tip 1: My seasonal colour mood – Burgundy & warm earth tones
“This year, everything revolves around deep burgundy – elegant, sensual, and beautifully warm. Together with soft earth tones and champagne hues, it creates an atmosphere that is calm yet still wonderfully festive. Whether on the table, in the tree, or tied into delicate ribbons – burgundy adds stunning depth to any arrangement. For me, it’s without doubt the colour of the season!”
Tip 2: Mix & Match on the festive table
“The Christmas table is the heart of the holidays for me – it’s where everything comes together. I pair our Westwing Christmas tableware with a striking, sculptural candleholder as a centrepiece. This blend of classic elements and modern accents creates a look that feels warm, inviting, and sophisticated – festive, but never overwhelming.”
“My Christmas style is festive, but never over the top – inviting and filled with small details that make everything feel special.”
Tip 3: Marble – a modern classic
“Anyone who knows my interior style knows how much I adore marble. It’s timeless, elegant, and works all year round – naturally at Christmas too. In festive colours, marble looks especially refined, giving any decoration a calm, luxurious touch. A marble bowl filled with baubles, fruit, or nuts is one of my favourite quick December updates.”
